    05 Honda 4 stroke question

I have a 2005 Honda 4 stroke carb. Motor here wondering why it consumes oil 3 quarts for 3 hrs of riding. Motor runs great just uses oil. Just not real familiar with 4 strokes. I'd check a pcv on a vehicle.... I was just thinking of the age but I didn't want to overlook anything. Thanks for the help.

Could do a leakdown test, might be rings or valve seals, can pull the intake and check for oily wet valves. It it smokey or oily coming out the exhaust?

Nope fresh water, very little brackish water. Probably rings or valve stem seals..age and hrs of service. Keep oil in her and let it run I guess
