Man, thats great, and i would for sure, but a couple buddies and I are heading to Burt/Mullet Lake for the weekend. Gonna take my Champion try and get on some pre spawn smallmouth bass.
I would love to bring my slow ass Checkmate down sometime tho, appreciate the offer!

The Au Gres river along the rock break walls leading to the bay is ridiculous in late april early may. My buddy and I wore the skin off our thumbs from lipping small mouth. From noon until 6 if we didn't catch 250 fish we didn't catch one. It didn't matter what you threw out there, a cinder block attached to a ski rope would have caught fish.

The lower au sable from foote dam to the lake has smallies that think they are Chinook too

Thats great info! Thanks a bunch, i have been a Wixom lake ratt my whole life, hardly ventured very far from Secord or Wixom other than the occasional tournament or family vacation. Now, will have to find some new waters unfortunately

In high school and college I don't know how many thousands of gallons of fuel we burnt on both those lakes skiing and wakeboarding.
