    Sportmaster lower unit

    My fat shaft doesn't have a hole for cotter pin ? Is that normal ?

    Yes . The Fat Shaft uses a 3 washer system . First big spacer goes on after the prop , then the conical bellville washer , then the final flat washer and fresh Nylock propnut . Torque to spec unless you have years of mechanical experience tightening things or you could over or under tighten the nut .

    No, they are not, look closely. One is a little thinner which goes in the middle.
    If you have 2 the same thickness someone swapped them.

    The middle one that is conicaled , does it matter which way it goes on the shaft?
