Pro max 300

Hi all,

I have a customer that has 2X300 ProMax they are 1999’s both sportsmaster Greacase XL and CXL.

one has a new mercury Powerhead that has roughly 50Hours on it the other is being rebuilt as we speak with everything Mercury/Mercury Racing parts.

The engine I am rebuilding suffered a oil pump failure that subsequently caused the #2 Cylinder to go bad. I am putting 6 new pistons replacing 2 rods and re sleeved 2 cylinders. I had all 6 injectors cleaned and flow tested. All new reeds, Fly wheel and the list goes on.

one of the engines has a new Sportsmaster gear case less then 10 hours on it the other has been rebuilt several years ago but goes well no issues to report.

The customer is on the fence about selling these engines but he’s thinking about upgrading to newer Merc’s 450’s or triple 300’s.

He asked me to see if they would be any takers or what I could get for them.

are you in kingston ontario? let me know how much for the running one. i may know somebody interested.
im guessing both are straight skeg sportys?
would the oil tank and harness be available also?

Yes I am in Kingston Ontario, they are both straight Skeg sportys.

Let me talk to him on selling just the one I am not sure he will bite.

everything oil related will be available lines, reservoirs as nothing will be needed with new set up if he decides to go that way.
