Driefort built Mercury 200 Carb Powerhead

I bought this from a member here and spoke with Dave about this engine. He remembered the engine and said it was a reliable lake motor build, nothing crazy. It ran very well on my SS-2000r. Right out of the box 95 mph in a short distance with a 28 Chopper and no set up time. I did not check the compression pressure but I think it is between 125-135 so no exotic fuel needed. Has been sitting inside the climate controlled for about a year so carbs may need to be cleaned. Premix motor.

Link to ad where I bought it. https://www.screamandfly.com/showthr...ght=shorty+200

SOLD as a package deal with cowl

    Tim 919-88nine-two2zero1

if you want it shipped you have to set it up. I will be glad to drop it off strapped to a pallet

No one? Too much? No carb guys out there anymore? I have enough stuff to put together a complete string steer 15" motor...which is just too tempting for me to start another project...save me from myself please

That's a good price. I would be all over that if I didn't find a Similar powerhead a while back for the v21.

Or if you assemble the mid I would buy it, I just don't know how to put that one together.

Me either!.....I got in pieces and have never fully put it together, just a 80% mock up. If no one decides to take it off my hands as a project I will do it...might be a while though...in the south that could be weeks, months or years depending on many factors such as, are the fish biting, is the wifes list not getting done cause of a boat project gonna put me deeper in the dog house etc etc...

I'm not sure but that sure looks like a mid and clamp i had probally 4 or 5 years ago. A friend told me about it but left the part of string steering out. I had it powdercoated and never assembled it again and sold it tore apart. Decided not to modify anything and wanted a hydraulic steering setup instead
