dont use talc, under water. it will absorb water and expand, breaking the filler and bonds. i prefer to use marine tex. and use pl packing tape to hold in place.

I use epoxy and thicken it with Cabosil. It came out really good. Then I smoked my motor. Putting it back together end of this month.
1990 Shadow bass boat w/ 2.4 200 Merc. Totally resto'd boat and love it!
