250 EFI's fuel/injector issues
I have a 2002 31' Fountain Sport with the original Mercury 250 EFIs. The boat ran well last year but I believe some non-ethanol fuel made it's way into the tank and the fuel/water separators (engine and transom) were were full of trash. Replaced separators, added Sentry (water treatment) had VST tanks cleaned.
One engine is running well, the other is acting like maybe it has a bad injector(s). Mechanic told me $800 per engine to clean/replace injectors which sounds super steep to me.
Any suggestions? I would really like her running well again and not risk starving a cylinder of fuel/oil.
