1969 Switzer Shooting Star Mercury 1250 SuperSpeedmaster Sterling original trailer

On the market now is my 1969 Switzer Shooting Star. Power is a '68 Mercury 1250 with SuperSpeedmaster gearcase. Boat is restored with original green metalflake gel and all new wood and carpet in 2015. Original Switzer upholstery. Boat has original Airguide tach and unique "twice around" 80 mph speedo. The boat and motor will shove the needle past the 80 mark with ease. Two SS props, 9 1/2x15 and a 10x14 cleaver. Full storage cover. Boat has Hot Foot and Merc top hat lanyard switch. Includes battery and restored 6 gallon Merc tank. Seat support flips up for carpeted storage area.
Trailer has new Carlisle USA tires, new lights, and new treated wood bunks, and a enlarged front support. Spare tire included.
Motor holds 130+ compression. Has tell tale moved to top of block. Late model regulator installed. Top mounts are larger from a M1350. Merc XS motion sunbber imstalled on driveshaft housing. Power trim is Petty style with new custom hoses and trim buttons on steering wheel.
Gearcase was resealed in 2018, has less than two hours running time since. New impeller and gasket this year.
There is not another left hand steering Shooting Star anywhere in the country that I know of - there are only 5 total that I know of. The price is $8900 and would include delivery up to 200 miles. Message me with email address for complete listing and photos.

    Gorgeous!
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
