I think a lot of struggling companies will pull the plug and blame the virus.

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

A lot of businesses have closed their doors. Particularly retailers. But from what I can tell, the boat business seems to be doing pretty well. At least in the south. My point is, it reminds me of a retailer announcing weak quarterly results and blaming it on the weather or some other factor than their lack of attractive product and service at a reasonable price. Place the blame on something other than the core issue. See https://boatingindustry.com/blogs/20...e-front-lines/

My son and nephew are both in the boat brokerage industry and they said they had about 2 weeks of paralysis in March, then the phone start ringing and their biggest problem is finding inventory.

Until the whole story comes out it is speculation. Like Gary said, their marketing sucked. Leave it to the Canadians to tank an once a great American icon.

Sad to hear. Competition is a good thing for consumers. Etec slides dominate the market, strange how the boat works just didn’t catch on. The boat biz is a bit different though. Ole invented the ob, sad to see these end. They should build a sell a 9.9 that’s tops on all fronts just to keep the name going

Cause these days when your spending the family's life savings on a boat the wife has something to say about it... We like the smell of castor in the morning most of our other halfs just hate it. Usually it's just the guys out on a bike or sled. My buddy at the big mia show said as soon as you say its a 2 stroke most walk away.

You will own 4 strokes and you will like it!
While.this was true a few years ago... hop on any newer designed 4 stroke and watch your opinion change.
