ECMs are not to be tampered with blah blah.... Anyone tuning anything recognizes that their warranty (if any left) will be void. Trust me, no one's getting their panties in a knot over that SB other than SuperDon. Most likely the guy just quit or was forced to quit.

Of course it voids your warranty, just like with vehicles. Was Simon selling actual custom tunes or flashing in factory tunes? Coronavirus just killed the 2-stroke and Mercury 4-strokes will be even more popular now...

EPA probably got involved.
There are very stiff fines for tampering with EPA rates motors. Look at what happened to the diesel market tuners a few years back.

Big ole middle finger to the EPA..
So no more New Evinrude 2 strokes and now if wanting new stuck with a 4 stroke and can't even flash them...well you can do it if you know how etc... Man glad I don't see buying a new outboard in my future.. like most on here I'll just make sure I have spare powerheads and parts im old enough that it last my life.. haha.
