    Hell I thought his was all plastic , well it looks the same anyway. I didnt no they had a plastic and a plastic/metal. Is the metal on inside?

    no, its all metal with a front that comes off..... yours should also only have two inlets on each side..

    looks ta be pretty much unmolested powerhead?.. what does it say on tha flywheel cover?.. can you see a date on tha starter?.. but tha other numbers asked for would tell what it is for sure...

    Great info gents thanks! The motor is stored at this gentlemans cottage so neither of us has access to it at the moment. Plan is to check it out this weekend, then of course I find a 96 200efi last night that I'm going to see first. The guy who owns the motor I posted the pics of is super decent but is not a mechanic type so hes trying to inform and has tapped out with regards to what I posted earlier. He seems to think its a 95 and went quiet when I inquired if it was a 2.4 or 2.5 I dont think he evens knows what that means. I'll get the serials and see whats what and report back. Thanks again!

    did you even look at tha drawing of tha parts i posted???.. course not.. it came out in '89... his motor doesn't even have dowel pin block or heads.... its pre '91 no mater what it is.

    I'm very curious as to how you can tell bout the dowls in block? Does it have a "bulge" where dowls are?

    they have a little "bulge" for a hole jus to tha side of tha sloted water outlet on both ends of tha head ta accommodate tha dowel pin in tha block.....

    if you look here you can see tha holes by tha outlets.. thats where tha little bulge on tha outside shows up....

    yeah, its more than likely a a '89/'90 2.4 "something" for sure.....
