Two damns let loose. No idea where that lake was though. Upstream obviously, but not sure if both were below, or if the lake was in between.

Property values might take just a little hit with that mess. I guess they have a new side X side play ground. We used to meet over there and drag race snowmobiles 30 years ago.
I hope they get the funding that will be needed to bring it back.

Word here is the Mich Attorney General recently sued the dam owners and forced them to keep a high water level, the dam owners wanted to drop the water a bit. So another big score for the Gals running Michigan. The Republican Lawmakers are trying to force the investigation to the National level, the Mich AG wants to keep it at the State level. LOL

Much more to it than level of the water the dam owners were told for 20 years to make changes...

The Wixom dam changed ownerships a couple years ago, and the State took control.I have a place in Sanford and I know the politics involved. The cover up is underway as our leader and her AG try to bury the truth. The flooding most likely would have over run the dam anyway and a few feet of level may not have made enough difference anyway. Bye the way the Sanford dam did not fail the water was just to high and to much to go through the gates so it went to the emergency dike and ate it up. As usual the News had much of the story wrong.

if the top dam goes, upstream...doesn't this cause the others downstream to go?
