    engine problems

I have a 2011 bay boat.I had a 2011 250 Verado on it.I traded my engine in on a 2018 350 Verado that has an extended warranty. With the 250 I was running 62mph at 6300 rpm's.Tha dealer tested my boat and he said he ran 62mph at 6400 rpm's(same prop ,21" Tempest on both engines)the same as the 250.I took my boat out last Sunday for the first time.It was very sluggish out the hole and the best I could do was 53mph @ 5300 rpm's.Every time I hit the trim button ,the motor would bog down. The motor ran terrible and didn't have any power. Also the motor killed at the launch and I couldn't start it.This motor has only 80 hrs on itThe dealer said it sounds like an electrical issue. He called me today and said he couldn't find anything with the motor He test ran it today and said he did in the high 50's @ 6000 rpm's.I realize the 350 has different gears but 100 extra HP and worst performance. The dealer seems to be a little puzzled.Heis a Big authorised Mercury dealer.Does this make sense to anyone?

I played with the trim ,jackplate and even the trim tabs. The motor didn't have any power.i'm wondering if I need to drop the pitch of the prop.can't see a 350 taking a smaller prop than a 250 on the same boat.??????

Well, if it's dropping RPM when you trim it, I'd be looking for loose battery connections or battery cables loose at the engine.......
