Carb problem
Fuel is dumping out of my middle carb on my 1979 Mariner 175 when I pump the ball prior to starting. Started right after I did a seafoam shock treament. Im guessing the float is stuck. Any thoughts on how difficult it is to rebuild one of these. Also looking at places that remanufacture. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

This should be your kit you need for each carb. I suggest putting kit in, the older needle rubbers where not at all ethanol friendly, where as the newer rubber is better (at least the red tipped ones, the kit for yours shows still black, but assume still be better than the old ones). Pretty easy to do, also make sure the old floats are still good and float

Yep, carb kit with new gaskets and needle should fix you up. Do all of the carbs. Definitely a stuck float
