Ive been running mine for about 6 years. bought it used off a guy and its been pretty reliable except for the one "my bad" grenade session in '18. long story short, make sure you properly prime the oil system any time you disconnect the oil reservoir supply hose even if its for just a moment. other than that its been great. I run it hard and I put a lot of hours on each year.

I wish that G2's had an option of a 1.62 ratio instead of the 1.85.

I think the 225 H.O. (and all of the E-TEC V6s) are fantastic engines! The 225 is of course really more of a 250. It's a great engine in every way.

I just assembled the one and only 1.60 g1 lower On the planet going to test it ASAP. A buddy had the gears made and they look great. We plan on making left hand and g2 as well. I have 4 g2 cases here waiting for them when they are done.

That is fantastic! I have also seen where grooves have been milled into the lower for a low water pickup. Keep us up to speed on how it goes!
