i would like to be able to do a deep water start with a single ski. Not skinny tailed high performance ski. Just a regular recreational ski. I weigh 200lbs. In boat would be wife, and two little girls. Motor runs well. It runs well with a 23p for ordinary recreational runabout. But i was (just guessing) maybe a 17 pitch or something for pulling up a skier? Advice?

I bought a Merc High Five 17" to replace the Trophy Plus 21" and it is a big difference. Getting up on the mono ski is much easier now. Very happy with the results.

I have a 4 blade Stiletto that I used to use for water skiing when I had a V4. $300 to your door.

    The 135 is a 2.6L V6. That would have a lot more off idle then a V4
