Cee Bee Avenger
Thinking about picking up a 1987 Cee Bee Avenger 183 as my first boat tomorrow. Anyone have any info or experience with these boats? Has a 150 Mercury Black Max with unknown hours. I have seen the brochures for the different models and have read through other threads, but am curious as to the boats hull design and longevity. Heard the early year transoms weren't great, but by 1987 was Cee Bee making these boats to last? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Welcome. That should be a solid combo.
Seen a lot of Avengers running around.
150 is a tough little runner.
How and where do you plan on using it.

Had a 2003 20' Avenger closed bow with a 225 hp Johnson. Good solid boat. Used it mostly for water skiing and tubing. Had the boat for 12 years and had zero issues. No transom issues whatsoever.

It’s 33 years old. Check transom, floor, and core. Good luck

Did you buy it? I have a 1977 17' Avenger. Love it. I detailed the entire boat's rebuild on photobucket a few years ago. I've posted much about my Avenger here. My boat is my signature.
