Fired it up on the hose today, no leakage! Had to lean out the idle some, the increased flow seems to have an richening effect. 1 1/2 turn further out on the idle screws.
Also reamed another set of jets to 2,1mm (.00827") in order to move a bit towards the rich side and start from there.
in GPH what would your WOT fuel flow be?

When the engine surges have you tried to hit the primer? Easy way to see if it is lean or starving for fuel.

mainly midrange, but some short (5sec) wot bursts
The greatest thing is the punch when flooring it from a 3000rpm cruise- it jumps
Since my boat is a family cruiser although set up as a sleeper in terms of power and speed, it is hard to get it to run much above 57-58mph due to the hull being front-heavy, but I Will try and remove the current water sport 4blade and try 3blade bow-lifter and se how it runs...

Yeah, I guess you could. Backside would be that you can’t see what is happening in a certain cyl...

sure but why worry about a single one, if the carb goes bad the piston is toast before the gauge moves or you notice it?
