    Repair screw hole in transom

I have a 2001 Allison SS2000. I accidentally pulled a screw out of the transom cleaning in the fall. It was a small screw used to locate the line connecting my old broken speedo to the pitot tube. Short screw small hole. Should I fill the hole? With what?

Get some gell from allison and repair it correctly. Epoxy is good stuff, but not the correct matching color or material. The guys on here can walk you thru the repair process.

Epoxy will have to do. I just called Allison and they can't ship gel to Canada. My office is in suburban Detroit, but I can't go to the US for at least another month. Maybe I can patch the small hole with epoxy, and then when I can get yellow gel, remove all the other screws and the pitot tube and fill the holes with gel.

you'll have issues getting the gel to stick to epoxy. get a bondo fiberglass kit from canadian tire and fill it with that resin...

David, if it’s the same yellow as my XR01 I’ve got an extra quart of gel from when Allison replaced my deck.

It is the same yellow as your XR01, assuming all Allison yellows are the same. How much for a quart of gel? If its warm enough I will be in the area water sealing our docks and decks later this week.
