From our observation the lifter failures generally show up around 150k. We always do complete deletes because they are already trashed when we get them. Tuning it out will allow lifters to always be functioning and opening valves instead of collapsing and working the spring, which should make them last as normal lifter. We’ve have the spring pieces that flew apart embedded in the oil pump. Good oil is a plus, the oil consumption issues are generally from the excessive oil spray on the bottom of the piston from the pressure relief valve causing build up on rings.
