Universal tilt trim pump replace stock Mercury?

I've got the old pump system that mounts in the boat and has twin cylinders on each outside of the tilt mechanism of the motor. I went through a fun ordeal last year of replacing the rams and lines - but the motor still leaks down. The original pump motor assemblies are long out of production. I found some used ones, but likely will get the same problems I have now.

    I found this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/RESERVOIR-MER...5582427&sr=8-5

My stock unit has FOUR outputs - two small and two larger. I don't know if this one has four or if I would have to split.

Anybody use one of these? Wiring looks to be the same.

This one looks like it's already set up with the fittings for the 4 hose trim? https://www.ebay.com/itm/333162255911

Wow! That's what I was already thinking! The only thing is - I don't know if/how it has a release mechanism. Somebody said the later units went to a distribution block - that may have the manual over-ride to raise/move the motor without the lift assist.

I'll call the contact on that listing!

I don't have an ebay account any more - I see that seller is at Ebay and Amazon - but doesn't have it listed on Amazon. Off topic - but I had a headache with Ebay after a PERFECT record since the early 2000s when somebody hacked my account. Ebay wasn't as re-assurance as I had hoped, and in frustration I deleted my account. I can still purchase in most cases as a guest, but makes it difficult to interact with sellers. I left a voice mail for the seller because I need to know if this has a bypass set up or not like the original one. Hopefully he will get back with me.

I went ahead and ordered that pump assembly. Let's see what happens. EBAY lets you check out as a guest.

Installed it over the weekend. It is a nice looking piece. I like the aluminum mounting frame. I was able to drill one hole in my floor and install it using the otherwise existing holes. It wired up exactly like the original. it is a tad wider the way it is mounted with the relays but is the same height as the original on the mount brackets. Haven't dropped in the water yet, but I suspect it will be just great. I bought from the ebay link above - it didn't come with any instructions. I'm sure it is made in China, but doesn't say anywhere on it where it is made that I could see.

It tucks in there nice. The wiring harness is well done and allows my original wires to drop in from the top and hook direct to the relays , power...and ground. The seat goes back in place like a glove and the fuel tanks fit on each side like before.

So far so good - except...I don't have a trim sensor availability that I'm aware of, so no way to put a gauge on and figure out where I am on the lake. I'm afraid of blowing the fuse or causing damage by over driving it down. I've had no luck finding a sensor - but I'm thinking there may be a way to adapt one. I see Panther products has something - but not sure what it is. Trying to call them now.

I wouldn't worry about that. Trimming down after you hit the bottom of travel doesn't (shouldn't) stall the pump... it just bleeds off pressure? We trim down constantly skiing, just to make sure it's all the way down before we pull the next skier up.
