Thanks Tex. Is that a general statement just because mercs have a tendency to lean out in the midrange or was the A6 specifically known for being lean there? I know some of the early promax boxes were known for that.

from what ive seen all motors like the fuel there... start taking it away after 6k (if needed)... more or less depending on porting and intake

even been adding fuel on top of the A6 when setting "drag ported" horn motors up for boat riding with big props

4500-6000 even on the 260's always a dangerous area. I always had Diamond take out that lean area.

iam running 260 front half and 260 injectors horned motor on a slighty cut 225 promax. running a a-6 curve on 56psi. I set fuel pressure at 50 psi at idle and I made a pass 2 days ago at 101 mph on comp vking and was running +7% on on steam wheel . I believe I was a little rich .but I also was only running 87 octane fuel at 155psi compression so I tried to keep it fat for running low octane .. that was also a 30p et prop.. I have ran it -15 percent with a 22p drag prop at 94 mph and seemed happy.. though I think horn will pull in more air so thus needing more fuel for air/fuel ratio to keep it safe I think I high rpms and big wheel will be safe a 0 on steam wheel
