Apparently on social media they called for a party on Haulover sandbar 100's showed and the mayor closed our ramps Sunday. On the news the boats were 8+ft apart but they closed them all in Miami. The mayor of the City of Miami has the virus.

That is just stupid, IMO. Let people get out and fish if they want. Take a load off the supermarkets.

On the stupid note, a employee who cut himself two weeks ago was to get his stitches removed today, said he didn't go because he's afraid to get the virus in the waiting room, this is the second time he's cut himself in three months, he's not smart enough to use a chainsaw correctly, but knows how to protect himself from the virus, while I was transporting his wife to pick up his car after the accident she asked me why he keeps cutting himself? told her I've had guys work for me 10-15 years and never got a scratch, stupid is as stupid does.

Up here they shut down our ramps too.

Whats interesting is, the ones on Lake Erie prevent us from going to the islands and/or Canadian mainland.
    That I get.

We live to go to the islands and I told the wife a wk ago....,they will shut down the ferries to the islands (every 30 mins in season) and lock it up.
I said, if they’re smart they’ll have a town hall and test everyone.
Assuming they all test clean, close down tourist traffic and they’re golden.

    Guess what they just did
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Can't go to Canada anyway. Border is shut down, where in lock down.

I think it would be easier to have the cops patrol the sandbars and keep people from congregating than to shut down the ramps......Right now, they have cops at the ramps AND at the sandbars....... stupid

    Yep.

We live an hr and a half from the ferries to the islands.
Just before the lock down we were talking about taking The ferry to Kelly’s island.
Could’ve stayed in our car the whole time and not communicated with anybody therefore being safe until they figure this thing out.
Then I said to my wife if you thought about the people living on the islands, they should have a Townhall test everybody there, if they’re all clean then shut down the fairies.
They would be immune until this thing passed.

Pelee Island in the Canadian waters is my favorite place on earth and was just reading a thread last night that they are now suffering supply issues due to hoarding on the Canadian mainland shorting their supplies coming over by ferry.
Also the majority of the full-time residents on that island are over 60. A friend who rents us a cottage over there is in his 90s and has never left the island.

Ive been going over there for 30 yrs and they’ve fought everything you can imagine to survive.
    Particularly the few businesses there.
Our stupid I-68 forms all but killed US tourism to the island.
Then their disaster of a new ferry.
They just ended the I-68’s and I thought they were finally in for smooth sailing, now this.

This is all he needs to remove his stitches. No need to go to a doctor. Of course he might want to let his wife do it.

Forgot the punch line to my story about the ferries.

The day after I thought of them closing them down, they did.

BTW, never gone back to Dr to remove stitches.
Although removing them from your own head is a challenge

While in Fla, I came out too quickly from under a boat I was working on and gashed my head pretty good.
    Was by myself.
Chugged a couple beers (to help w/pain and the wait at the hospital), grabbed a wad of paper towels and headed to the hospital.
Had my wife’s VW rabbit rag top, w/the top down.
And it was a stick car. So had to drive w/one hand.

Got stopped at a light beside a family in a mini van.
Should have seen their reaction when they saw the blood saturated wad of towels on my head and the blood running out of it and down my face
    I smiled and waved.
