I never really asked Steve about the bowlift on the Bullet, but the cleaver is the fastest when running light. With the 34 Hill, his 20 footer ran 11 and his 21 ran 106. It is by far the fastest for top end. Just not a good holeshot when loaded for a tournament. On the Liberator, the top end actually runs negative trim. With the Garmin screen neutral trim is 10%, I run top end at 6%. I can lift the bow as much as I want.

I ran one on a XB21 Allison as did others. We had a 30 pitch. All boats were loaded to fish. On a 21' Allison with a 250R it could spin it, but it was a little big for the combo. It did return solid numbers for its pitch. Same boat with an Optimax was a absolute struggle. Just too much prop.

I ran it on my XB21 Allison in a similar prop shoot along with 12 other props that day. I have a 300R with 1.75's. Seat observations were it was the worst prop of the day. Again, loaded to fish with a trolling motor on the nose. The prop wold not lift the nose. It had so much stern lift however that it rolled the entire boat over on its left side. At just around 90 I had to get out. It just felt so wrong that I didn't risk pushing past it.

This is where it gets interesting. When I run I data log everything. All passes are from idle (5mph) to top speed. The boat is trimmed the same every-time so we can see a prop vs. prop comparison. Again, the prop felt so awful I only made a few pulls with it and gave up. The only thing impressive about it was how fast it was going for such a low RPM. It was down around 5800 rpm at 93. Stupid low slip.

Later that night I took out the data logger and started reviewing. For the day it was the quickest prop I ran in the 5-85 time category. Just edging out a ProET, technically the PRoET was out in front by 18' so it was pretty much a draw. I couldn't believe it, it felt so horrible, but was very quick to speed. I wanted to try it again the next day with no troller and less gear in the boat, but mother nature gave us a windy day and we ended up playing with 1.6 gears and I never got back to it.

Interesting results, seems like a lighter boat wheel. Would love to try one again some time.

On Toledo Bend back around 1980 I hooked a 10 footer in the eye once with a Moss Boss spoon on 40# braided line....when he went down and started spinning he reeled my 20' boat right up to'em before I cut the line!!!
That Merc went back and forth and reving up at least 20 times before I got turned around where I could leave the creek I was in!!!
    BTW....I love my ProMax's!!!

Randy , a few questions , 1 .What set back do you run and why ? I added another 6 inches setback plate in front of my Bobs 8 in for a total of 14 and I did not see any gains with my 300xs . Actually wanted to slowly start to porpoise more with props smaller dia than the Bravos.
    2. Do you run the 300R up till water pressure starts to drop to get max speed or do you just run at a certain propshaft height? Typically on the 300xs , I think that is what most do .. run them at 12 to 15psi.
    3. Are the props you tested all ok to run high and surface? Thanks ahead

Higher the better. I run the 300xs motors at 12" setback, but recently am trying the 300R's at 10". Less setback will mean less porpoise

You don't say what boat you run. All these props surface well, but may be too big diameter for a 300xs
