200hp Mercury Black Max Serial Number?
Hi All,
I've searched everywhere for this, but can't find the serial number of my motor. The plate on the motor bracket is missing/painted over. Build date is 1/8/91. Is there anywhere else on the block where I can find the SN?? I've looked everywhere, so if you have a very specific location or picture - please share!

Go to rear of motor. Look toward front. Silver Welch plug on top of block between exhaust divider and flywheel. Slightly on port side of motor if i recall. It should be there.

Does an tell if it’s a 2.4 vs 2.5 . Like sequence of numbers ? Or above xxx number
