    Optimax JP New Old Stock

So i have a line on buying 2 of these Optimax JP engines and 8 other 3.0L Optimax engines..So the deal is they are at a place that you are not supposed to be able to see or inspect them. Its just how it works here. You bid and get what you get. Been doing this for a couple years. But now they have these engines and i cought a glimse of them and i know these guys pretty well now and they let me look for just a sec and that was it.. I was able to jot down the model number..19JP48LHH...All of these look to have never been in the water but have sat outside somewhere and the stickers are rolled up on the cowls.. But have no water marks, dirt,or any reason for me to believe they have ever been run..So i am looking to see if there is any interest in these motors or just the lower units. Found a post from mercury racing that they are most prob Fleetmaster 2:1 lower units. They are the grey in color..Would appreciate some insight on what these may be worth and if you guys could use them. Be glad to bid on these and try to get them..Located in Charleston SC..I'm sure there are others who are going to bid and allready know what these are worth so if you would like to get one or all of these lets try to bid to win ok...Thanks guys..I know someone here is going to be a wealth of knowledge on these..My number is 843-934-0122 if anyone would just like to call me

Those are the diesel/kerosine motors built for the Navy I believe. They are rated at 185hp.

The 3.0 Liter V-6 OptiMax JP produces 185 horsepower. These unique engines are 40% more fuel efficient than the gasoline engine they are derived from. And, with 95% shared components, there are no unique training requirements necessary.

Thank you, Chevyman434. I've done more reading on these engines, and while they are truly fascinating, I've determined that they will not meet my needs.
