Roark Summerford and I are friends, when I started this project I wanted to put twins on it, but was not quite sure. Roark was suggesting I do twins. He sent me several photos of the twin they had built and also of an inboard model. I did originally build it with twins, 15” 2.5 efi’s, I love multi engine boats and have done many. I did however plan in the beginning that it may end up with a single? Fast forward, the twin boat was super cool looking, it certainly looked over powered, I did like it, however, it was not a good recreational boat, it accelerated violently and at about 105mph was nearly impossible to drive straight on its way to 120. I am not afraid of much, but I was afraid of it! Now as a single it is a great boat, it behaves normal, runs excellent , drives properly and is plenty fast. I would be happy to speak to any prospective buyers about this boat, it has been a labor of love.

I remember when these were originally made way way back when. My Dad built most of the back of it for Roark down at the original Laser plant. I always thought that boat with a killer single power plant would be a neat Parker Enduro rig!

Best of luck selling it Sir, I would be all over it if I hadn't picked up an STV two weeks ago.

I saw this boat begin to come together over last summer and hope it stays local because like this thread says it is a special boat and build. Good luck with the sale Joe!

They were also produced in Canada by Charger Boats (under license I believe).
I don’t believe any we’re rigged with twins.
Many were rigged with single HP motors and performed quite well.

I guess this 20ft LTV/STV must have been a secret. This is the first I ever heard of it. I agree with Matt in that it looks like it could have been a great marathon boat. I can vision it with the narrow deck.

I ran it with a 1.62 300xs, 32 pro et, ran 100, sold engine, then a 300x 1.75 30et, ran 100, sold engine, I never did put a 2.5 single on it? I wish I would have along the way? Maybe even one of the 2.5xs engines many seem to like? Top speed is not my goal with this boat, I use it with my 80year old father . It is a nice boat.

I was going to ask how it rode in snotty water but it looks like my question has been answered. If you rode your 80 year old Dad around in it then it must ride good. I can`t believe it`s not sold yet. Very nice boat. Trailer look nice to.
