    2.0 1750 Blocks

This one's for the old timers. I know some of you guys remember the original 1750 blocks that have the big exhaust outlet and the open chest. Do you remember a block with the big outlet that uses a late style exhaust cover?

This is my 1979 Mariner 175. Early style block that uses the late exhaust cover!

Anybody seen this before? I'd like to replace this block if possible...

I picked 1 up yrs back that had the 1rst design downdraft efi on it like the early 2.4 had
ecu mounted on the front of plenium
to build up to run in the formula 150 class as rules let the small 2.0 do all kinds of work to em
but wouldn't allow me to run it as was a factory race block and not a production,,,,,,
dammit as it was a screamer on a 120 hull with 12"/speedmaster
sold powerhead to a guy with mirage and he loved it,,,,,

Unfortunately most of the 1st gen 175's have the "open" exhaust chest. Mine was a 1979 and had the early exhaust outlet with the new style cover. I have another 175 that's the old style. I know by 1981 they were new style all the way. I've never had my hands on a 1980...

I have a couple of early 2.0L Champ blocks available, if anyone is interested. I'll have pictures available tomorrow. They need help, but they are CHEAP.

This is block 1. It's an early model Champ block. It has all steel sleeves, but 1 is broken from rod damage. The rest of the bores are rusty and will require boring I believe. There is damage to the edge of the sealing ring flange, but very repairable. There is no front half. The price is $85.00 plus shipping. All of the blocks are in Toledo OH.

This is block 2 early Champ block. It has chrome bores. 1 bore is badly scuffed from a stuck piston. The rest, I think, are in poor condition from rough and bubbled chrome. Might need to be re-plated or steel sleeved. There are no welds. There is no front half. The price is $85.00 plus shipping. The block is in Toledo OH
