Quikleen or Sea Foam? In the tank or spray in carbs, too?

Which one do you guys suggest for cleaning out a 2.4 200? It has always run pretty well but I'm sure it could use a decarb and general internal cleaning. How much do I put in the tank? Spray stuff in carbs, too?

    Thanks

You can shock it with Quikleen. That means mixing complete bottle of Quikleen, with less than 10 gallons of fuel. Then let motor sit with that in fuel for 24hrs. Then rerun motor. Better is to use Powertune, spray that in carbs. let sit 1 hour then rerun. You can try seafoam in a spray bottle. I have never personally tried that.

Best thing is power tune, warm motor, spray carbs use 2/3 of the can and stall it out. Pull plugs and spray in cyls crank over. Reinstall plugs and let it sit overnight best to soften all the carbon. Then run it on the lake, after that you can add Quikleen as a maintenance thing.

Thanks guys. Sounds like our town is probably the same stuff as seafoam . I have used seafoam an automobile engine is with great success to do what you said about spraying it in and then stalling out the motor and letting it sit. Smokes like a chimney for about 10 miles but always cleared them out.
