item 30 in this drawing is half of 2 piece... production motor parts

item 27 in this drawing is second piece of adapter.. when combined referred to as a 2 piece adapter plate.

if its a two piece it needs poppet and t-stats.. at least 3/8" hole (no larger) washers in stats place.. water discjarge needs ta be slowed down to do its job of removing heat... "no stats" can cause an over heat problem...

picture of plater under bottom cowl pan??

Oh great! Frankin Merc + my lack of outboard knowledge = a scream and fly mechanic. Thanks for all the help. All of this has been helpful.

looks like it started life as a factory "hot rod".. popped tha original power head and replaced with production 2.4.. won't need stats or poppet.. would add restrictor washers with 1/8" hole.. blank cover over poppet hole.. replace complete water pump (cle gear case)..

is there another number ona a tag on tha clamp saddle?

Ok guys parts are in and we will see what happens on Sunday. But my next question is what octane fuel should I use 91? ( this is what I been running) Or is it ok to run 87? Since its a franken-merc not sure if it NEEDS higher octane. Thoughts??????
