    Don't let it sit too long. I've been inside a few sunken motors before and trust me the ECM might be the least of your worries.

    Almost better to leave the engine underwater.......when air hits it you literally have hours before corrosion starts. If you must get it up but can't tear it down immediately, pull the plugs & submerge it in fresh water. Turn it over to try to completely fill it with water. Air is your big enemy here.
