New 300R on a 2001 21ft Liberator

Did liberator change the bottom on the 21 and the earlier ones were faster? I thought I saw that somewhere.

They put steps in 2015, but I also heard that the 300xs was detuned in 2015. I lost 3-4 mph on every boat after 2015 so I'm not sure which issue was the problem. The new ones all run 111-113 with just me and low on gas with a 300R and Hill cleaver
