    My New Rig

I will be adding this to my rare vehicle collection. I picked up this 1948 International KB-8F. This particular one was 1 of 1 only ever built. One of those International Society places is already looking into it. Besides that, you gotta love the Patina.

I am not sure. It's still a 6 volt. It's cold out, no battery, carb moves and he parked it there 10yrs ago and fired it up a few times a year until 4yrs ago then never tried again.

    Some odd ID facts are.
States 361 RD hp ratings yet ID says it's a 401 RD which is a higher hp motor.
It now supposedly has a 501 the old timer said. But it looks like the 451 to me because of the exhaust/intake set up but who k ows.
The ID says 143" WB which doesn't exist.
That square boxy saddle fuel tank was built for this rig because of how close the front drive axle is to the back of the cab. Although not impossible but its sporting the flat nose front end instead of the beaks grill with the wings flowing off into the headlight area.
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

And for the hard core fellas. It does have two drive shafts one to the front drive axle and another full length driveshaft going over the top of the front drive axle into the rear drive axle. Pretty cool setup if I do say so. So the tranny goes into a power splitter and has two full driveshafts.

After being idle for only4years I would think the engine will run again, I have see stories of old tractors coming back to life after sitting in a field for 40 years. File the points, rebuild the carb and jump the battery. P.s. I jumped my old 9N Ford with 12V for years with no problems, these old vehicles were tuff.

I don't have a clue what you are talking about. Other than it's an old International truck with an engine, trans and two diffs. I did work on a lot of Internationl trucks back in the 80's. Ususally powered by the DT466.
Good luck to ya and I hope the restoration goes smoothly.
