Tennessee River Rally Sport / Miss Milena

I am luv'n my new Rally Sport { purchased here on S& F } , I highly recommend the members of this site , the purchase went flawlessly , Taylor & his family went above & beyond to make this a special transaction even in the Artic cold of New Hampshire and just a few days before Christmas .

Jayco Marine of Lawrenceburg Tennessee sold me a next to New 250 Pro XS , Installed it perfectly in less time then it took me to drive over there ! Another Great Experience !!

NOW ! I just need to learn to Drive her !! * any & all tips in this area would be appreciated , I come from the world of Offshore , so Driving on a Pad is a different Animal ! The previous owner has told me his points and explained the boats quirks , however I appreciate everybody's knowledge & Experience .

I watched this particular boat for a couple of years knowing this was the boat for me , the Moon & the Stars had to be in the proper order for me to own her and when that opportunity arose I jumped !
Sadly . my wife and I lost our only child to Cancer this past Oct 7 , Milena was only 38 , Mother of 4 small children & Proud Army wife … Milena loved being on the water and I have many fond memories of pounding through the waves in our Scarab , running to the keys , traveling from Vergennes VT to Canada and just going wherever the bow pointed ….
It is with a Heavy Heart that I Christen this Rally Sport the " Miss Milena " ….. a double meaning in that the " Miss " is a Traditional prefix and because We Miss her so profoundly .

We plan to have a PARTY ON THE RIVER this summer { 2020 } to celebrate our daughter and our new boat ….. EVERYBODY on this site is welcome & expected :} to attend !!! Dayton TN . our home is on the Tennessee river , complete with dockage and a Launching ramp …….. please drop a note if you would like to attend ,,, More Info to come !

Thank You all for letting me blather On , give Kudo's where they belong and Shed a Tear .Click image for larger version.

I'm just up the road from Skewby. I'll be watching for the dates. (I could also bring my boat down just about any day for a bit of cruising.)

I live South of you on the Tennessee River at Ware Branch. (Just South and the other side of Soddy Creek).
I am about out of fast lake boats but me and who ever could show up with the Sea Ray.
Or the aluminum bass boat with the hot rod engine.
    Keep us informed.

Thanks for the replies !! So far I have managed to scare the crap out of myself & only have gotten to 72 mph , she has Sooo much more as I'm not even on the Pad properly yet … this boats gonna take some seat time { which I'm excited for ! } .
I'm not a boat snob , I luv 'em all , so to that end when we have our Party Everyone Wet is invited . before then , anyone who is cruising the River at any time is welcome to pull up to the dock !! Come all the way in Mud Creek { it's a beautiful Bay , Not a muddy creek } and we are down towards the end , we are building a New home next to our current home so you can't miss the place .
We have our daughters 4 children for awhile { thus the new house } while their dad finishes up his current obligations in the Military { probably his 5th tour } .
Snow was easy … the rising river submerged the dock but it's reappearing as I write this ….. if the weather is decent Sunday 2/16 gonna splash the Rally for some much needed seat time { bringing an underwear change w/ me ! } hopefully I can get her up on the Pad …… and back down !

One last thing …. I'm gonna Sell the ACR ….. just not going to have anytime to use her { we have cruised her all over the country so I have no regrets } Time to let her go to the next lucky owner .. Please pass this along to anyone you all may think would dig a World Record breaker and holder of the title " Worlds Fastest Production Car " .

Soo , ANY hints or Suggestions on mastering this Rally Sport ???? Click image for larger version.
