28 Steve Smith tuned Trophy
I've gone faster with this prop on my SS2000 than any other prop, both with my old 225 PM and my current 200XS. It's a fast prop. But my 200XS bogs with through hub props, even small hub Trophies with the vent holes removed. So I don't need this one anymore. I'd rather be 2 mph slower and plane faster.
I paid $250 for the prop and another $250 to Steve Smith. He balanced it and sharpened the blades 'a bit'
I know I won't get $500 back out of it, but I'd rather keep it than sell cheap.
At the moment the rubber flow torque hub is in so tight I can't get it out. If you want the hub it will cost more. Otherwise I can take it to a prop shop and get the hub pressed out.

I had to double the vent holes in my 28 trophy. You might give that a try before selling. Made all the difference especially if you have exhaust modifications. JMO GLWS

I agree have that prop shop or a machine shop open up those holes. Makes a really big difference.

I could try opening the vent holes. The 200XS sends part of its exhaust out the snout, has 1.75 gears, and idles low. All that adds up to it needs to slip a bit off idle.

Was wondering if you were a 15” and had the snout in the mid. Have you tried it with the bolt in restrictor plate removed from the shout?
Once you open the holes in the prop you’ve probably committed to the prop. Others might not want it modified that way. On 3.0 outboards running the Bravo prop had to have 1-1/8” - 1-1/4” diameter holes to get them to slip and hook up properly.
Might give Mercury or Bblades a call to see if they’ve done it before with a trophy on a 200XS.

I wouldnt open the stock holes. Add holes I only did 3/8" holes nest to the stock holes and can still put plugs in the stock holes if I or someone else needs to. Leave the stock one alone JMO
