Old Powerboat mags?...
OK, We are looking to down size are home for retirement in the near future(couple of years) and we are starting to plurge some of the stuff that's built up over the years. We have tons of books and mags. I had a subscription for Powerboat mag for like 15-20 years (1989-2011?) and there... there. Im having a hard time putting them in the recycle bin, so if anybody wants them its take 1 take all and all I want is shipping. With shipping prices I would think its going to run .75 cents to $1.00 each?. Or should I just dump them??.

Know how ya feel. I have them all from late 1979 to the last issue...
I put them in the trash and couldn't take it. I took them out and still have them. Someone should pick these up.
The early offshore boat tests pre Fountain are fun to look., The MOD VP stuff and the St Louis Shootout. 1st 18ft Skater etc.

My wife is after me to let my Hot Boat mags go. I keep telling her, when I retire I will enjoy going back through them. A lot of good history and research in the old Powerboat and Hot Boat mags.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.

Still have a ton of Hot Boats. Use em for reference occasionally but for the most part they collect dust. Why is it so hard to dispose of such things.

Would like to have an old issue that had the original Dale Razor 22 Talon featured in it. I owned that boat for a while, had the issue, but the storm wiped out all my saved printed books and magazines. No idea what year, let alone month the issue was.

Because its on the internet now and YOU CANT find it Or take it in the bathroom and leave it there to pickup next time your in there. I always like the guy who posts how to fix something and at the end of the post it DOES NOT WORK but he leaves it on the internet.
Enjoy Life Keith
Take care of what you have its hard to replace.

In a day or two i will stack them on the scale and see what they weigh. I might have been way high on the shipping . Im not trying to make anything on them, just want shipping costs. If nobody wants them i will look at the years and issues you guys are looking for before i .... dump them..
