have no idea. i have friends & relatives come and visit & they have gone to these florida keys dive sessions, and they are asked to pay a large donation to go dive out on these newer coral farms. They pay to "experience" what its like to glue small bits & pieces off larger pieces, onto the floating rope "columns", then post on facebook what they accomplished. Don't know if the columns work or not. I do know it takes about a hundred years for these things to form into anything worth talking about.

I am conflicted.
I have some just as nice, sunset pics from Lake Erie.
And our back yard, over our hot tub.
Told many of my cracker ass buddies down there, when we lived there, Ive had the perfect weekend in the Keys/IC and in the Erie Islands.
If I had to pick one, it would be up here.
Problem is, making it through 4 months of not seeing the sun.
Although, my wife’s boss just bought property in Punta Gorda and I told her, if we have to move for her job.....
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Pelee Island/Canada, Lake Erie, April.
I have water skied in Ohio, every month on the calendar.
The secret is, be ready whenever spring arrives and use every weekend you get in fall.

We'll be dodging trees and debris all summer again up here. Water level is nuts. Makes for some good exploration in the tin boats though.

I used to chase the weather down there to get pix’s.
Neighbors thought I was nuts.
There was a tiki bar on the IC in Sebastian that was a favorite.
It would look like the abyss over the IC and the sun would be shining over us.
Did one trip out in the Atlantic, through the Sebastian Inlet, knowing we were tight on time for an incoming storm front.
Popped a gear case and had to come in on one.
That boat would run 7 MPH on one w/o cavitating.
That storm was going same direction at 7.5 MPH.
We were approx 12 - 15 mls from ramp.
It caught us at the ramp.
Left the Mrs hiding in the cuddy until I got us home.

Florida might be flat but in the summertime you can look around and see so many mountains in the sky

Way cool Scoot.
Love The sounds of the Vector project.
My 30 x 56 pole barn I’d also well insulated and heated. And has music and TV
I’m 60 now and am also slowing down. I have an some great pts for another hot rod OMC but no idea what to put it on.
I started the Convincor project and wondered if my wife and I are even able to crawl in the cabin
I bought a complete I/O Convincor last season so we didn’t have to wait on competition of the project.
Good news was, we did make it in/out of the cabin.

Hi Gary,
My wife and I are pretty much retired now. I will be 65 this year. After 50 boats or so, many of which ran well over 100, I saw the Blue 1973 Vector that came up on the home page here last year and had to have it.
The previous owner took excellent care of it. Boat is in surprisingly good shape for the age. I'm keeping it pretty original. Doing a mild resto on it now. Converting the 20"150 I6 TP Merc to a 15" mid...along with the typical core work. The boat is original and unmolested with original upholstery. Shows pretty good. It's so small it feels like driving a toy. I can tow it with a Subaru Crosstreck! A big change from my F350 Crew Super Duty. However, both the Vector and Subie are alot easier to live with and move around after all those highly strung 2.5 singles and 25-30ft dual engine stuff.
For the Lake I live on, I wouldn't mind another 300hp 21ft SOB like the Superboat/Shadow I had. Saw the 25 Sonic for sale on here and thought of you. As you may recall I got my 25 Convincor to run 75-80 with the Bridgeports. She was a hopper though.
Keep Goin!

We went from the mid 80s and Silver Glenn Springs last week, to a high of 55 here today/low of 32 [if you can believe the Weather Forecast anymore]. I left my boat at Charlie's today for the engine Annual and I will take it to Jack's for the yearly 'glass/gel coat repairs at the end of week/next week.
Hopefully our 2-3 weeks of Winter will be over by then...
