Merc 2.4 piston ring squeezer
Anybody got or know where one is, the factory merc tool. It was solid around and the piston went inside and was easy to install in the block. I had access to one but no longer do. It was a factory merc ring squeezer, not aftermarket. Don't know the part number, but it fit standard bore only. Any body got or know where one is? Thanks

Easy enough to have a machine shop make out of a piece of pipe.

I'm packing up **** to move, I think that I may have one, will look tomorrow. I never used one myself, always had good success using a automotive band type with the ratcheting band tensioner, Just my preference, never had a problem, and can use same tool on about any bore size I had to work on. I know others may object, but never failed me. Just my two cents, Call it old school or old fool

YOU can use a piece of thin flat stock about 1'' wide brass hardware store item wrap it around piston, add 2'' for tabs, bend ends 90, squeeze two fingers, works like a champ.
