This is down the street from you, bolts right up and makes enough power to run the crash box and hydraulic pump.
As well as probably be cheaper and a lot less disappointing, in the end ...

your going to have a tough time laying a verado on its side, its go no where for the oil to get back to the pan then.
I would say your better off with a 3.0 efi or dfi powerhead.1988 Checkmate Starflight Yamaha 3.3L OX66

Curious, does anyone know where the oil pan is for the Verados ?
Anyone have the engine schematics?

Oil drain back from the crankcase cover and cylinder head, and the separate scavenging pump you will have to run, bell housing, engine coupler and water pump.

I think the oil will drain back both by gravity and positive flow from source. The oil reservoir will be below the motor.
an electric non-scavenging oil pump will be used
fabricate - bell housing, engine coupler
en electric non-scavenging water pump

That's a lot of work for 300 horsepower, and you haven't even got to the exhaust yet.
