    25 245/260 Crank Rod Bearings

Rebuilding a 2.5 245 and had to get one new rod bearing for #1. I ordered the 514R from ProMarine and it is a little different than the ones that were originally in there. By buddy who is doing most the work (who am I kidding, he does all the work, I just get in the way and drink beer), but anyways, he said it should be just fine but he wants to see it with the crank which he will see them this weekend together. But has anyone else see this in the process of building a HP 2.5? The 5 stock bearings look great, so really doesn't look like I would need to change them, but if anyone has an opinion on this I would like to hear it. New 514R bearking on the right, the stock on the left. The 514R new bearing has a bigger taper on the side of the cage.

Factory to aftermarket. IMO they are fine as have used them with no issue.

Looking at the new bearing Promarine sent me and the part online they sent me the 514 and charged me for the 514R. I think someone either mislabeled the box with the promarine part number or the picture online is wrong. The part I got is definitely the 514 picture.

So confirmed they sent me the wrong bearing. I wonder how many others got the same wrong one sent?? Anyway, sending it back.
