East Coast Fla....

May be road tripping down from Ohio in a few wks and may p/u a boat to use while down then bring home and flip.

Thinking 18’ - 25’ Center console as they are popular up here making for an easier resale.

Have done this before and worked well.

Anybody know of anything?

Boat, trailer and motor needs to be clean and solid.
We’ll be using it while down then Towing the 1300 mls back north non stop at 80.
Probably looking at a $10k limit. Cheaper is good too 😉
Projects OK too if priced accordingly, functional while down and towable to get home.
Room for improvement once north is fine and helps me.

But, no:

broken skegs
corroded head bolts
corroded tiller arms
crusty trailers
dry rotted tires
toasted bearings
bondo’d hulls
etc

What you got?

Very early planning stages of a tentative trip.

If it happens, we’d be coming down 75 to Fla then across state to J Ville before heading down 95 to Vero Beach and can stop anywhere along trip.

We have a 20 Aquasport that is recently rebuilt. Has a good running Evinrude xp150 on it. Not a total project, but is ready to go with only a few small touches to go. Really nice stereo system in it. We just had it out yesterday to test run it.

Maybe $30k.

There is a strong market for them where we go on Lake Erie. Lower price versions would go to the fisherman, nicer ones to people w/waterfront weekend homes wanting a mini van for the lake.

Broker friend is a Regulator dealer and they are a yr out and only sell mid size and up.
Last we were there they just got a 28’ w/twin 300 Yammi’s.
Was $285k and pre-sold.

Buyers have/want the plush interiors which I doubt I can find/afford.

Coming from Fla will make future owners nervous so will have to be low hrs and clean and on a real trailer. Not a Fla trailer ��

PS, have my eye on several clean/nice in the $10k< range but thinking Bigger/nicer I can afford , more I can make.
