    Yamaha F70 gear ratio

Hello Yammie Gurus out there. I am wondering if the Yamaha F70 gear ratio (2.33:1) can be easily swap out to a lower ratio in the F50 (1.83:1)?

Are there any 15" mid section for these 4 stroke motors?

    Thanks

It should fit the upper cases share the same part number, as do the crankshafts. As long as the driveshafts would be the same length it will fit. You need a full lower unit from the F50 though, not just a re-gear. These were from a 2016 F50 and F70.

    Crankshaft p/n - 6C5-11411-10
    Upper Case p/n - 6C5-45111-00-8D

    You need a complete lower unit p/n - 69W-45300-01

This info is all assuming it is a new(er) unit. I used a 2016 for reference.
