Made a Beer Tap Handle --- of a different kind

Figured I'd share something I made recently with you.

Its all handmade except the knob (thanks amazon).
Billet aluminum - manual milled most of it, and final shape with a grinder and flapper disc. Wood is Padauk, Purple Heart and pallet pieces.

    Backstory:

Neighbor and becoming good buddy brews beer.... I mean the guy is INTO it! He's all about compositions, ph this, acids that, and on and on and on. Constantly doing 5 - 10 gallons of something new up, bringing samples over and going hog wild with flavors, blah blah blah & once they return home to Wilmington he's got his ducks lined up to open a brewery.

Fast forward... he's also got a roached out Wrangler thats ready for the junk yard and been driving it around without a shifter nob, so in comes me. I've been having a blast on my Delta wood lathe and invited him to turn some tap handles for the Kegerator. We've done two so far, but nothing spectacular so I wanted to do something special and came up with this. Kind of an inside joke, yet stand out and be different from the rest.

Got my page BAREFOOT FABRICATION on FB where I share creations and chase 'likes' as a crackhead would his next fix

    Hope you enjoy.

Nice! You gonna make him a wood handle for his Jeep?

I have a pretty cool one in my Porsche made of balsa.

His jeep doesn't have a shifter knob and hence I made him a shifter beer tap instead. Sorry, weird sense of humor.
