X2 ^^ A6 early PM box and if it's good is a great box!
Mercury wanted these 225PM's to be a power house for the bass fishing guys when they came out so they made sure the boxes were good ones.
Just need to check/confirm all parameters are currently working properly since they have been around for some time now!

A bit of info on 225PM boxes.
A6, A12(recalled), A17 early (recalled and remapped to R32), A23 (15"SS motor), A32 latest and greatest, last box.
The later A17 when it's working properly is also a good box!

The A12 had a lean spot between 4-4500rpm if ran there for any length of time pistons would tend to stick.

Yes, and they dropped it quickly. Just like the 260 box when it came out...5500-6000, not good!

Well worth doing, not sure what was done on the recall but would think they would have. Reflashed and renumbered or replaced the ECU., no A12 under the cowl.

Just sent my A17 to Brucato last week for the free promotional deal. We will see what they say. Will more than likely be selling it as soon as I receive a clean bill of health. Everyone at Brucato has been great helping me with my new ACU!
We only go through this circus once...so enjoy the rides!!!

On the worth of having them tested when not sure especially when we are dealing with 20 year piece of equipment.
They just took them back remapped and sent them back as an A17. If I remember correctly not many of them were used when quickly turned into the A17.
Just like the A23 was only for the 15” motor and the A31 was for the 240 jet both with 7 petal fronts..
