First I started by making these ..
You can see the pick-up sitting in the "notch" ..
Thru the bottom and out the transom ...
It worked, but not as good as I wanted. The boat goes up and down, in and out of the water .. but the gear cases usually stay in the water .. or close to it. besides , the water doesn't have to go thru the boat .. hoses and everything else. Just up the lower .. and done .. So yes, 13 PSI additional. Most importantly, no alarms ... beeeeeeepppppppppp .. in guardian we go ..
And my notch is only .250 deep .. plenty more left , but I don't think a 16" wheel would fit ..

Ok now I understand, your statement (I added the "witch's nose" to the front of my sporties) had me thinking you put it on the sportie, not on the boat. I am surprised it does not effect the water flow to the props but I guess with the big diameter prop and only 1/4 inch below the bottom you are getting away with it. Are you blocking off the holes in nose cone or leaving them flow? Thanks for clearing that up Chaz,I appreciate it.
PS pretty trick how you made it adjustable!Last edited by perfmarine1; 12-19-2019 at 11:07 AM.

Clear as mud ..
No, I said :First I started by making these ..Then I said :It worked, but not as good as I wanted. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. What I did was spend good time and money on making parts, buying hyd hoses with stainless fittings etc. to do those "remote" water pick-ups. While they worked .. "I wasn't happy with the results" so I did away with them and did "the witches nose" modification on the gear cases themselves, which are at the very least half again better than the much more complicated remote system.
