Does not matter if you believe in the power of prayer, at least send some "good luck", "condolences", "feel for you bro".... anything but "i don't believe in your chit"
Sad for Cuda tho, and even though he is that way, if he ever got hurt..... everyone here would still send him some prayers"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors". Plato .

I'm doing OK. Sucks having to get an Uber/Lyft to go to appointments. Gotta go get pre-surgery blood work today, back to the Ortho Dr. tomorrow to find out when surgery is.
The scariest thing for me right now is the vehicle situation. I've seen my truck and it looks to be in pretty good condition, considering. Looks drive-able and repairable but it's a 1995 GMC truck so I'm sure insurance will total it. I believe I could fix it, just don't know if I will be able to physically after the surgery for quite awhile. Not to mention my pre-accident health issues.
So I'm most likely looking at having to get another vehicle, used of course. That can be a crap shoot and end up with a lemon.-----------------------

Maybe they won't. If they do, you can still fix it, or have it fixed. And yes, it is a crap shoot! I bought a work truck with a crane on it. I thought it ran fine, had it tuned up, steering parts, radiator, etc. Spent about 4K on it. Two weeks later I has having a Jasper reman installed in it. So now I have a $15k truck with almost $25k in it. When I step in $hit, I use both feet!!!

You're going to be a back seat rider with your leg out straight for the next couple months..... Make sure you sue the other driver for transportation costs and loss of work..........

Children, children...
Dave did you have your seat belt on?We have invented the world; WE see

Yes I did have my seat belt on. I always wear my seat belt. I fell exposed not wearing it.
Just got back from another Ortho visit and finally got to see the X-Ray of my knee. The knee cap/patella snapped right above where the patellar tendon attaches to the lower part of knee cap. Dr. thinks the small piece that the patellar tendon attaches to is in multiple pieces and they will have to remove the patellar tendon from that small piece and reattach the tendon to the larger piece of knee cap.
Oh and I found out the guy who is at fault doesn't have enough insurance to cover the surgery. So now I have to go get the surgery through the state run hospital system.Last edited by CDave; 12-19-2019 at 09:55 PM.

Thanks for the update sir - your going in a positive direction , appreciate what you have and your going to survive all this . It' an Event and it' not the first you have endured I'm sure . Glad you are seeing medical attention and soon be booking the surgery forward . It' difficult I'm certain . I look forward to you stretching that limb out and complaining of the physio ! Won' be long . How are sleeping ? . Maybe in a bit you should try to stay busy - something to accomplish , to make time go by . Hobby , polish the lower hull . Way low . Then you need an electric hoist to get you upright ! No Marathons - even short ones . Have you got a pool - swimming or just floating . Water is a great way to build some low impact once the surgery is done . Start planning it won' be long .
