    VST Fuel Lines

Is there a substitute fuel lines that can be used instead of expensive ready made Mercury lines?
Looks like 5/16 one is straight and the other is molded. I have the earlier version VST.
Have fuel seepage at ear clamp at throttle body end, looks like clamp got squeezed to tight and cut through the hose.

Just be careful if you decide to use a straight hose and make the sweep/bend because I have seen them kink after fuel was run in them.
I know it sucks what they charge for them.

EFI kevlar reinforced fuel line, a stainless steel spring inside to keep it from collapsing. EFI hose clamps to secure.

I get my fuel line and clamps at napa. My store has the springs also. Same idea as a cars suction side radiator hose, spring inside prevents collapse of the hose. I believe all the formed hoses are merc proprietary parts. Some of the bent hoses with bad ends can be trimmed a little and reinstalled. If you don't mind a loop in a longer hose that will work also. Not very professional looking tho...

Thanks for the info., same principal as the rad. hose. I think I may be able to trim a tad off and use FI clamps. I will check Napa by me.
Do u know if all 3 hoses come in the Merc kit?

Exactly! cut/trim to as need it, I get the 2 needed hoses for $20. Taking a chance on a kink with fuel delivery is not a good thing.
I have actually swap the brass fitting on the plenum that attaches to rail tubes that use 2-90*. Got away from that "S" hose.
Crazy Mercury's hose kit list for $100 for 2- 4" hose and 4 clamps, insane.

U got that right! Going to us FI clamps on new hose so it will removable and reusable later. Ear clamps cut into hose to much, every time u put a new clamp on the line cuts in a little more each time if u have to remove it. Want 2 change the reeds right now. Thanks

talked with jsre about kinks he suggested std clamp over kink tighten slightly, seemed to work. that snake hose is way 2 go.
