Lower Unit with a different nose cone.

This lower unit came as an extra when I purchased my boat. Obviously the housing is trash. It's supposedly a 1.75 ratio and has a blowout ring of of some sort. The other abnormality to me would be the nose cone. It has three big holes and a rounded shape. I have only seen the pointy nose cones like Bob's. Anyone know where this duckbill cone would have come from? Is it any good, if you could/would take it off? Not sure what i am going to do with the unit yet. I will never use it, but I hate to see it sit around if it's of use to someone. I am sure it has a bunch of internal parts someone could definitely use.

yes hydromotive and its not a torqmaster it first generation alpha 1st case following preload case's for it to be a 1;75 it would have to have been a special gear set from Mercury only no after market for hipo cases they sold them for sporty cles and torqmasters ive never had any of them

No sir, not that I can see. I looked in there I assume the drain is easy to see? I have only had torqmasters through the years.
