Single lever side mount controls vs two lever side mount controls?
I need to replace my old mercury single lever side mount control and been wondering about a two lever shifter/throttle. Is it worth the upgrade to a twin, how difficult or if there is any pros and cons? The only time I had a single engine with 2 levers was back in the 80's on a boston whaler 11' and cant recall how it was, not sure how it would be now since I'm use to a single lever.
Any thought between hardin marine https://www.hardin-marine.com/p-7440...e-control.aspx and dana https://www.marineindustrieswest.com...productid=4691
Are they both good or is one better that the other?
Thanks.Last edited by Wellcraft26; 12-03-2019 at 08:50 PM.

BTW, is there a lock button so it doesn't accidentally get knocked into gear when idling in neutral or the opposite, when going cruising and shift it into reverse?
