Harness is the same, common fore the fuel pump driver in the ECU to go bad. Should have 12v on the pump key on, ECU provides a ground to make the pump run.

Everything works fine with a brand new harness. But they both look the exact same. I dont wanna have to RIP out the harness out of the boat and all its gauges etc. So what's up with one harness not turning on the fuel pump?

If its a key on issue must be a purple wire thing.

Not really. Because everything on the engine side works. The fuel pump is the only thing that does not work when I plug it into my harness that's already completely installed and been running fine the past 4 years. Spark starter trim etc. It will start and run a bit when pumping the bulb but no electric fuel pump unless I plug in a diffrent remote key harness. Then fuel pump works. So if the purple is key on power why would it have spark and fire the injectors but not the electric fuel pump?.

I lied to you after looking at the diagram the fuel pump has batt power to the + side of the pump the ECU provides a ground to make the pump run. Looking at the harness connector from your boat a few of the pins look squished. Take a razer blade or box cutter and push it down the split in the pins to spread them. See if that helps.
